Health I Students will explore health and wellness, looking at the different types of health and all of the influences on healthy decisions. Students will investigate life skills, communication skills, and decision-making strategies. We will cover the topics of emotional health, physical health, diseases & injuries, personal safety, & First Aid.
Health IIThis course provides a comprehensive look at the human body’s structure and functions. Topics include organization of the body, characteristics of life, anatomical terminology, how the body maintains homeostasis, the relationship of chemistry to anatomy and physiology, and cell function and division. The skin, skeletal system, muscles, and nervous system are examined. Sensory organs and the endocrine system are also presented. Several diseases and disorders are discussed, and as well as the cause, detection, and treatment of them.

Field & StreamsLet's dive into our environment and find how we depend on each other. We will cover topics of ecology, food chains, pollutions, soils and nutrition, water environments, and more. We will grow our own fish and work with the fish hatchery, as well as learning how to Leave No Trace. Local fly fishing clubs have offered to teach us how to tie fly's and fly-fish!

Physical Science + Lab Physical Science is a yearlong high school course that will coincide with the Compass Online Learning. One semester will deal with the Chemical nature of matter. The other semester will deal with the Physical characteristics of matter. The experimental process will be emphasized. This class will give students a preliminary background in Chemistry and Physics. We will cover States and Properties of matter, periodic table, chemical bonds, reactions, & solutions. Then in Physics we will study motion, simple machines, energy, light & sound, electricity, & magnetism.
Earth & Space + Lab This a yearlong high school course that will coincide with Compass Online Learning. The experimental process will be emphasized. We will cover plate tectonics, Earth’s structure and energy, compositions, erosion & deposition, atmosphere, weather & climate, oceans, astronomy, solar systems, & deep space.

Earth SciencePut on your lab coats and get ready to be amazed! We will explore the chemistry of the earth, minerals, and the three kinds of rocks, the rock cycle, ores and fuels, the atmosphere, movements of the earth's crust, ground water, weather, glaciers, earthquakes and volcanoes. We will be extremely hands on doing many totally awesome projects like exploding volcanoes, fossil digs, & egg drops, while learning about the world around us!
Space ScienceLet’s get our hands dirty learning about our galaxy and the third rock from the sun. This Earth & Space Science class will concentrate on space exploration, the moon and its cycles, volcanoes, rocks, and the sun and planets. We will be doing many cool projects that include, astronomy, star navigation, rocketry and more!
Machine Science How do things move? How do machines make work easier for us? We will discover these answers and more as we try hands-on experiments and activities about machines, electricity and magnetism, sound and light, levers and pulleys.

Survivor: Physics IslandAre you ready for the ultimate science challenge? This very hands-on class will take you through simple machines, flight & rocketry, force & motion, electronics, matter & energy, magnetism, engineering, and then move on to Chemistry! In chemistry we will learn how fireworks are made, solids can make liquid, and how liquids can shatter all while learning atomic structures, equations, formulas. Catapults to Rockets This is as close as we come to a ballistics class! We will learn the timeline history of catapults through modern day space travel. This is a hands-on designing & constructing class that will learn about motion and forces of objects, scientific inquiry & problem solving, measurement, geometry, data analysis, & probability all while stretching our ability of technological design. Did I mention -- we get to fire and launch all the catapults and rockets we make?!!!
